The New Simpson’s Opening
I am completely disgusted. I don’t care if they are moving to HD, just redraw the original exactly. Matt Groening, end this.

Much like when Homer was being initiated into the Stone Cutters with the Leap of Faith, the bottom has given out multiple times with The Simpsons, with the floors (and the dignity of the show’s creators) progressively sinking lower and lower. I think it’s safe to say that this is a new low and, hopefully, the final insult to lifelong fans.
We’ll say it again for emphasis: Matt Groening, if you are reading, please end this madness.
You know, I’m all for the classics, and aside from the unnecessary chasing the couch thing. I actually LIKE this new opening. It keeps all the greatness of the original, adds in bits for the true fans and they brought back the scan over the rest of the characters.

Agreed - I’m the biggest Simpsons fan alive and I think it’s hardly any bloody different. Just lovely crisp HD and some added in-jokes. Yay!
